Ambience..

Being a food lover we try out different cuisines. My palate undoubtedly loves Indian food the most but I always love to try out different delicacies and cuisines. Not only I enjoy the food but also the ambience matters to me, be it a big palace or a small cabin,it focuses the character and atmosphere of the place. Recently we had been to many places to dine out but I find few of them have great ambience along with the food. 
"Orchid Thai" is a Thai restaurant with great ambience and food. This place have every symbol of Thailand. Thailand a country that is rich in culture, architecture always represented by symbols.
     
The Ratchaphruek (The golden shower tree or Cassia fistula ) is the National flower of Thailand.

"Thai Sala " unique structure is a open pavilion found in courtyards, temples, gardens or any public places with a closed roof  supported by columns and open sides to get the air in. 
The golden deer and umbrella (Parasol or Chattra) are symbols of buddhism . The  parasol denotes the protection against all evils and it is a symbol of royal dignity. The deer symbolizes harmony, happiness, peace and longevity. 
The hand made crafts are from Thailand where each piece is exclusive and extra ordinary. Starting from a vase to fish, the elephants to wood carvings are exemplary. Elephant symbolizes the victory, prosperity and success. 
Thailand is famous for its intricate carvings on wood . Now-a-days due to deforestation illegal logging of teak trees are banned. 
This place took my heart just in one visit. I can't imagine how the country would be !!! Now Thailand is defiintely in my ''to-do'' list to explore much of it.

Welcoming Spring !!

...Spring is when life is alive in everything. ~Christtina Rossetti~        Spring marks rebirth, regrowth and rejuvenation.It denotes a new start, gives a new life to Mother Nature. It is one of the four seasons that marks an end of winter. All the trees have started budding.  Day length is increasing as the season progresses. Mushrooms have popped out. Grasses are becoming green. New sprouts have started emerging out from the ground. And I can't wait to enjoy the beautiful spring blossoms in my own front and back yard and near by areas. Pleasant stay at hometown

I belong to Berhampur a small yet important place of south Odisha . My place is famous for the silk (Berhampuri Silk) and it is a major hub for small and big business.  My maternal home is 7 km away from Gopalpur-on-sea in a village known as Ramachandrapur. It is a small village with a population of about 2000. People of the village are mostly farmers earning livelihoods by rice and vegetable farming. Some of the villagers work in construction sites and some have small business in nearby places.  Literacy rate of the village is about 63% out of which female literacy rate is about 27% only. My maternal home is in th eentrace of the village just few steps after the famous Laxminursingha Temple. My mother takes care of the house. We have a huge garden with varieties of flowers, medicinal plants, fruits and vegetables. The home it self is very serene and healing with beauty of nature, peace and away from urban pollution.
